AVITONE has several ingredients which are extremely useful & effective in management of asthma, bronchitis & COPD. Acorus calamus (Sweet flag) is been traditionally used medicinally against different ailments including asthma, bronchitis, cough. Cissampelos Linn decreases the hallmark signs of asthma: bronchospasm, cell migration, mucus accumulation, inflammation and airway remodelling. Zingiber Officinale Rosocoe (Ginger acts directly as a smooth muscle relaxant, or as an anti-inflammatory effect. It exhibits strong bronchodilator effect against histamineinduced bronchospasm. The bronchodilator activity may be directly due to smooth muscle relaxation, inhibition of PDE 4D enzyme or antiinflammatory effect. Thus, it has potential for clinical application in asthma treatment. Inula Racemoca relieves the breathlessness, asthma. PL (Piper Longum) administration was found to reduce OVA (ovalbumin)-induced inflammatory cell infiltration, downregulate Th2 cytokine expression, and mitigate mucus secretion and airway fibrosis in asthmatic mice. The anti-inflammatory activity of PL may be attributed to its inhibitory effect on the activation of NF-κB. In TNFα-stimulated Beas-2B cells, pretreatment with PL also downregulated the TNF-αinduced inflammatory cytokine expression and mitigated NF-κB activation. These results suggest that PL may be a promising candidate for the treatment of asthma by regulating NF-κB. Ocimum basilicum L. relieves and prevents chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and other respiratory disorders such as bronchitis, aspergillosis tuberculosis, and lung cancer. Ashwagandha is an expectorant and has anti asthmatic property, due to which it is useful in cough. Adhatoda vasika (also called vasika) has mucolytic, expectorant and bronchodilator action, and helps in the management of asthma. Bromhexine, an allopathic expectorant, mucolytic and bronchodilator, which is a synthetic form of alkaloid vasicine found in adhatoda vasica. Saffron (Crocus sativus), showed bronchodilatory potential on obstructive pulmonary diseases. The effect of saffron on Th1/Th2 cytokines in animal models of asthma, were also demonstrated.

Bromhexine is an expectorant, mucolytic and bronchodilator modern drug, which is a synthetic form of alkaloid vasicine found in adhatoda vasica.
